The Dementia Experience team is dedicated to delivering joyful events that generate connection for those who have family members living with dementia. They are based in Kent, and expanding to new areas.

Dementia can be an incredibly isolating and emotionally draining experience. We are here for you as a free, local support network. Everyone’s situation is unique, with its own set of challenges. We firmly believe that by sharing our personal experiences and creating a supportive community, knowledge and positivity can be found.

On term time Mondays they can be found here in the Garden Room, from 10 – 12:30. The Monday Gang, perfect for those recently diagnosed with dementia, from Thai Chi to informative talks, you will find inspiration and activity.

The afternoon brings choral delight to Hands of Hope with The River of Live Phoenix Dementia Choir from 1 – 2pm, run by the warm and colourful Carla Smith. It is an uplifting experience for family members, carers and those living with dementia. They sing a mix of songs from across the years, chosen specifically to bring energy and feel good vibes.
