COMMUNITY & SOCIAL
Creating new support networks.
A community space for men to connect, converse and create.
The Shed Community promotes community cohesion and members share traditional skills such as woodworking, hedge laying, bodging and pole lathing, as well as using their expertise to restore and improve the physical environment of the site whilst creating a shared space to improve general wellbeing. Based at our Hawkhurst Site.
Fun, friendship and food!
Lunch Clubs are a public health resource important to local communities. Popular with older people, they can support independence and wellbeing and they have a positive impact on nutrition. Based in Peasmarsh with a new club planned for Hawkhurst during 2021, we provide a morning of fun, friendship and catching up followed by a delicious & nutritious two-course lunch followed by an afternoon of entertainment.
The cook van, stuffed with goodness!
Collaborating with other charities in the region such as Active Hastings, our cook van supports children as part of our objective to tackle Holiday Hunger as well as selling great food at local events to help us raise vital funds to support our charitable aims.
