Easter Holiday Family Fun

Celebrate spring with yoga, foraging, baking and nature crafts!

Join us for a wonderful Easter celebration at the farm! Children aged 5 and over will rotate through three exciting spring-themed activities: energising yoga, foraging for wild garlic to make delicious scones, and creating beautiful hapa zome nature art while the scones bake.

Perfect for active, curious children ready to get creative, get outdoors, and celebrate the season in a hands-on way. And it’s completely free!

Children will embark on a fun-filled morning journey around our farm, visiting three activity stations that celebrate spring, creativity, and the joy of making things from scratch. Each activity is designed to be engaging, educational, and seasonal, with plenty of variety to keep everyone interested!

How it works:

  • Children rotate through three activity stations
  • Time for transitions between activities
  • Collect stamps at each completed activity
  • Take home handmade Easter bunnies, fresh scones, and hapa zome artwork!

🧘‍♀️ Children’s Yoga Start the morning centred and energised with a fun, spring-themed yoga session designed just for children. Through playful poses and gentle movements, they’ll stretch, balance, and have fun while building body awareness and confidence—perfect for an active Easter celebration!

Please note: During yoga, we ask parents to either wait outside or sit quietly at the back of the room to help children focus and get the most from the session.

🌿 Wild Garlic Scones – Foraging to Baking Get outdoors and forage for fresh wild garlic on our farm, then head into the kitchen to turn your finds into delicious, homemade scones! Children will learn about foraging responsibly, identifying wild garlic, and the satisfaction of baking something from ingredients they’ve gathered themselves. While the scones bake, they’ll move to the next activity—and come back to enjoy their warm, tasty creations!

🎨 Hapa Zome Nature Art Discover the beautiful Japanese technique of hapa zome—pounding fresh flowers and leaves onto fabric to create stunning natural prints. While the scones are baking, children will collect petals, leaves, and flowers from our gardens and create their own unique piece of nature art to take home. It’s meditative, creative, and results in a beautiful spring keepsake!

🐰 Handmade Easter Bunnies Get creative and craft adorable Easter bunnies to take home! Using simple materials and a bit of imagination, children will make their own special Easter decoration—a lovely keepsake to remember their day at the farm.

Important Information

Arrival time: Please arrive 10 minutes before 10am (around 9:50am) to allow time for signing in and orientation. On arrival, parents will need to sign in and acknowledge they’ve read our risk assessment summary (a brief overview of farm safety).

What to wear: Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, as activities are both indoors and outdoors. Children will need to remove shoes and coats for the yoga session, so comfortable clothes they can move in are ideal.

Parent supervision:

  • During yoga: Parents wait outside or sit quietly at the back
  • During other activities: Parents must stay with children

End of event: At approximately 12pm, once children have completed all three activities you return to reception to complete a feedback form and collect a take home gift.
