Hands of Hope Charity is delighted to announce an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and passionate flower grower to partner with us at Hands of Hope, in Hawkhurst.
We are inviting tenders for a Lead Flower Grower to develop a commercial cut-flower enterprise on charity-owned land through our innovative Social Enterprise “Land Loan” model. This initiative supports local enterprise while creating meaningful volunteering opportunities and generating income to sustain our charitable mission.
About the opportunity
The successful applicant will receive access to approximately 0.5 acres of prepared garden space, offered on a zero-rent basis, along with shared infrastructure including water, composting facilities, and communal storage. Hands of Hope will also provide a regular team of volunteers and promotional support through our marketing channels.
In return, the Lead Grower will:
-
Manage the full seed-to-sale flower production process
-
Provide supervision and mentorship for volunteers
-
Operate in line with our environmental values, including no-dig and peat-free practices
-
