The journey so far…..

Set up in 2016 by the current Trustees and still run by them we are developing a neglected, heritage walled kitchen garden & 22 adjoining acres off Moor Hill in Hawkhurst, West Kent.

Over the years the site has fallen into disrepair as previous owners have tried to develop the site for housing and have allowed large sections of the wall to collapse, destroying glasshouses and buildings, negatively impacting on the natural landscape and wildlife habitats.

We are working to preserve, restore and develop the site into a sustainable, all-inclusive community hub to:

• Provide educational and social activities that use growing and cooking, combined with traditional practises to improve physical and mental health.
• Deliver projects aimed at tackling food poverty as well as rural and social isolation.
• Providing valuable training opportunities in organic horticulture as well as heritage rural skills.
• Use heritage and the natural environment to support life-improving programmes accessible to all.

We specifically focus on marginalised groups across Rother, Hastings and West Kent.
