Seed sowing
Sowing seeds is important as it fosters a connection to nature, promotes understanding of where food comes from, and develops valuable life skills like patience, responsibility, and fine motor skills. With the bonus of encouraging healthy eating habits and watching flowers come to life from a teeny, tiny seed.
What will we learn?
We will be learning how flowers and vegetables grow with hands-on experience, from sowing to planting, caring for and harvesting flowers and produce in our beautiful cut flower and walled gardens.
You will:
- Learn how to choose seeds, pots and compost and learn how seeds grow into something much bigger
- Have a tour of our flower garden and walled garden, maybe even pick a flower or two
- Craft your very own flower crown or wand
- Create a nature collage with leaves, petals and twigs you find around the gardens
