Join us for our popular Waste Not, Want Not cookery workshops, where you’ll discover how to cook delicious, budget-friendly meals, reduce food waste, and build confidence in the kitchen. Each workshop focuses on different recipes and techniques, giving you variety, inspiration, and practical skills you’ll use again and again.

Small, friendly groups with hands-on cooking—perfect for building kitchen confidence while connecting with like-minded people!

What to expect

These workshops are designed to be welcoming, practical, and genuinely useful. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand your cooking repertoire, these sessions will give you new skills, recipe ideas, and the confidence to cook more at home.
Each workshop focuses on different dishes and techniques—so you can book multiple sessions and learn something new every time! All workshops share our core philosophy: cooking delicious, nutritious food affordably while reducing waste and making the most of every ingredient.

What you’ll experience:

  • Hands-on cooking in our professional cookery school
  • Work individually or in supportive pairs

Workshop details

Grow, Cook, Share, Care is a Hands of Hope programme engaging vulnerable groups, those with complex needs, families, especially those living in food poverty, and older people, in learning, wellness and social activities aligned to growing, cooking, and nature.

Suitable for all. Priority for spaces will be given to people meeting the criteria: aged over 50, young carers and young adults with learning disabilities.

There is no charge for this workshop, donations are always welcome!

Please ensure you arrive ten minutes before the start time to ensure we can get everyone registered, and please bring a container to take your home your goodies.

Each participant must book individually so we can monitor eligibility and ensure we’re fully prepared for everyone attending the workshop.
