Half Term February Family Fun

Join us for a brilliant half-term morning of yoga, woodcraft and seed planting!

Beat the half-term boredom and bring the family to Hands of Hope for a morning packed with hands-on activities, outdoor fun, and learning new skills. Children will rotate through three exciting stations. Each activity is designed to be engaging, educational, and enjoyable

Perfect for getting the kids active, creative, and connected to nature during the February break. And it’s completely free!

How it works:

  • Children rotate through three activity stations
  • Each station lasts approximately 40 minutes
  • Woodcraft and potted seeds to take home

🧘‍♀️ Kids yoga a fun yoga session designed just for children. Through playful poses and gentle movements, they’ll stretch, balance, and have fun while building body awareness and confidence.

Please note: During yoga, we ask parents to either wait outside or sit quietly at the back of the room to help children focus and get the most from the session.

🪵 Woodcraft with The Shedders Get hands-on  with our skilled Shedders team! Children will learn basic woodworking techniques and create their own wooden item to take home. A brilliant opportunity to try traditional craft skills in a supportive, safe environment.

🌱 Vegetable Seed Planting Get those green fingers dirty! Children will learn how to plant vegetable seeds properly, understanding what seeds need to grow into healthy plants. They’ll practice real gardening skills and discover the satisfaction of growing food from scratch.

  • Three rotating activity stations (yoga, woodcraft, seed planting)
  • Expert instruction at each station
  • All materials and equipment provided
  • Anything children create to take home
  • A morning of fun, learning, and fresh air!

Important Information

Arrival time: Please arrive 10 minutes before 10am (around 9:50am) to allow time for signing in and orientation.

What to wear: Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, as activities are both indoors and outdoors. Children will need to remove shoes and coats for the yoga session, so comfortable clothes they can move in are ideal.

Parent supervision:

  • During yoga: Parents wait outside or sit quietly at the back
  • During woodcraft and seed planting: Parents must stay with children

Sign-in: On arrival, parents will need to sign in and acknowledge they’ve read our risk assessment summary (a brief overview of farm safety).

End of event: At approximately 12:15pm, once children have completed all three activities. You will be assigned activities in advance to make sure the morning runs smoothly!

Important booking information
Each child attending must book individually so we can monitor eligibility and ensure we’re fully prepared for everyone on the day. Please only book for children, not the grown ups.
